Ah, the holiday rush is here.  Parties and shopping.  Decorations and Christmas caroles.  Less than three weeks till Christmas and full steam ahead! Thus begins my weekly trip to the grocery store.  Jenna, my two-year old, hums "Jingle Bells" from the backseat.  The route from our house brings us past the purple and white banners of Texas Christian University, home of the mighty Horned Frogs. A Reminder for the Holidays

My daughter came prancing into my bedroom yesterday morning pushing her baby doll's empty stroller.  "Look at me!" she pleaded.  In my morning grogginess, I peered up to see her climbing into the toy sized stroller.  "Jenna, be careful with your stroller!"  I said.  It was not the first time she had heard me warn her about climbing into the little toy. Without missing a beat, she replied, "Be careful with your pillow!" Was it possible that at the tender age of 2, she has already learned sarcasm?  Or was she innocently ridiculing a semi-conscious outbreak of obsession/compulsive maternal worrying? Settling In for the Holidays…

This is my favorite time of the year. The weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year's seems like an accelerated journey in giving thanks, receiving abundantly, and starting anew. This year, I'm feeling the call to snuggle in, spend time with friends and family, and focus on the completion of the What If Up book. That brings lots of changes for me, including the decision to send out my newsletter monthly instead of weekly until the book is complete.
