What if you take 100% responsibility for your life?
Set aside the philosophical conversation about whether or not it’s true. Imagine for a moment what it would be like to claim 100% responsibility for EVERYTHING in your life…
What if claiming responsibility for every aspect of our experience could be a pathway to freedom instead of a one-way ticket on a guilt trip?
What if owning our reality helped us more quickly see the gifts in those “difficult people” who wander into our lives?
What if taking 100% responsibility for our failures and our successes(!) gives us the perfect lens for tweaking our actions and reactions and truly being the change we want to see in the world?
“The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny.” ~Albert Ellis
I was digging through the archives of some of my old sermons when I was the spiritual leader in Wimberley. Thought you might enjoy listening to them from time to time. This one is all about taking 100% responsibility. Are you up for the challenge?
